- Hello. My name is Brenda. I am deaf although I didn't always consider myself deaf. I considered myself a hearing person with a hearing problem. But life experiences changed my concept about that and now I'm happy to have the identity of a deaf person.. however...as I grew up in a hearing world...completely oral...I have a foot in both worlds!
